As a transient community of workers who are largely unfamiliar with the assistance infrastructure for workers here, as well as their rights as workers—coupled with language barriers—a significant number of workers have been unable to access the necessary assistance needed.

 

The Alliance of Guest Workers Outreach seeks to bridge this gap through working with government agencies, as well as partners, such as SATA CommHealth, the Singapore Medical Association, HealthServe, and the Singapore Pastoral Institute. 

 

Through these partners, guest workers will have access to medical, legal and mental health services at subsidised costs—removing barriers of access that may have been a consequence of their low wages and/or lack of knowledge.
