Donor Treats Guest Workers to Dinner in Generous Birthday Celebration

Many would expect to receive, rather than to give, on their birthday. Yet, one donor decided to commemorate his birthday in a meaningful way. He reached out to Dorm Mums, a dedicated support group under the Alliance of Guest Workers Outreach (AGWO)—a movement under Hope Initiative Alliance (HIA). Through Dorm Mums, this donor paid for the dinners of 140 guest workers residing at two dormitories in Bukit Batok and Tuas on his birthday on 9 December 2023. This act of generosity saw guest workers enjoying a meal of mutton briyani, gulab jamun (a traditional South Asian dessert) and mango juice. HIA commends the donor for his kindness towards guest workers.
