A vibrant new wall mural has been unveiled at Kranji Recreation Centre in this month.

Aneesh Trivedi, the 16-year-old artist behind the wall mural at Kranji Recreation Centre shares:

"I've been volunteering with AGWO for the past year. It’s been an incredible experience and the journey has been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to engage with migrant workers and understand their challenges. I’m so grateful for that."

The wall mural features familiar Singapore landmarks and cultural motifs such as henna and kolam, showcases the contributions of migrant workers to Singapore’s infrastructure and celebrates their culture. Aneesh’s parents and our migrant workers, too, had a part to play in creating this work of art.

"I aspire to keep supporting the KRC community and advocating for the respect and appreciation for all individuals who made this possible. And to the migrant worker brothers who assisted me, thank you all for your support and encouragement."

Speaking at the wall mural unveiling with an art competition by guest workers, Rev Sam Gift Stephen, Lead Director AGWO shares:

"I acknowledge your efforts to paint from your heart. Most of you have painted your homes, villages, towns and dream houses. All of these are the dreams that you have. As you work towards your dreams, I believe you will achieve your them one day. So work hard, continue to dream big, and you will see your dreams come true."

The wall mural unveiling is graced by Mr Tung Yui Fai, Chief ACE Group and volunteers from The Bible Church, Singapore
